The GATE 2027 registration fee is non-refundable. Refunds will be processed only for the duplicate transactions upon submission of valid proof. Unpaid accounts / accounts where transactions are not available will be deleted after the GATE 2027 registration portal closes.

Candidates are advised NOT to delete their verified or unverified DigiLocker accounts after
GATE 2027 application submission and the payment of application fee. Future communications from GATE 2027 will ONLY be made with respect to the DigiLocker account using which the candidate has submitted the application.

📢 Important Update

1. GATE aspirants have an option of registering through unverified digilocker account. They can select the default ID proof during application filling process. These candidates' applications will be scrutinized after the registration deadline for necessary documents. Additionally, the original documents will be verified at the examination halls for the candidates registered with unverified digilocker accounts. It is recommended to the aspirants to use verified digilocker account for smoother experience at the examination venue.

2. Candidates with disabilities (specifically those with visual impairments) who are experiencing issues with live facial capture should contact the helpdesk (helpdesk@gate.iitm.ac.in) to complete their application process.

3. Registration process for Foreign nationality: This registration link is EXCLUSIVELY for foreign nationals. Candidates registering using this link must bring their foreign national passport for verification on the day of examination, else will NOT be permitted to take the examination. Click here

Required image size of photo: maximum upto 530 x 690 pixels and 600 KB.
Required image size of signature: maximum upto 580 x 180 pixels and 300 KB.

6. Creating "GATE2027" folder in DigiLocker (only for SC/ST/PWD candidates): Click here

● For SC/ST Candidates: Please upload a valid SC/ST certificate as CATEGORY.pdf in the DigiLocker 'GATE2027' drive folder. ● For PwD Candidates: Please upload a valid PWD certificate as PWD_CERT.pdf in the DigiLocker 'GATE2027' drive folder. If required, compile Appendix B1, Appendix B2 and PWD certificate as a single document and upload in the same drive as PWD_CERT.pdf in the 'GATE2027' DigiLocker drive folder. ● For PwD Candidates: UDID certificate to be submitted as UDID_CERT.pdf in the 'GATE2027' DigiLocker drive folder. ● Please ensure that each file is uploaded to the DigiLocker Drive under the 'GATE2027' folder with the specified file name. The file size should be between 10 KB and 600 KB.
