REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Data Required for Filling the Application Form for GATE 2027
The following data will be required while filling the online application form.
- Registration for GATE 2027 through DigiLocker is mandatory for all the Indian nationals. All the necessary data for filling the application will be fetched from DigiLocker for ease of registration (Name, DoB, mobile number, email id, profile picture, address, verified ID card number). Please create/update your VERIFIED DigiLocker account NOW!.
- Consent: Please provide consent to GATE 2027 to access your data in Digilocker.
- Personal Details
- Name: The name of the candidate in the application form must be exactly the same as that in the valid photo ID, which the candidate must produce in original while appearing for GATE 2027 examination at the centre. GATE 2027 scorecard will be issued as per the name fetched from Digilocker.
- Date of Birth: Date of Birth will also be fetched from Digilocker ID. Change in D.O.B is NOT allowed during Application process.
- Digilocker verified Mobile number and verified Email ID will be used for Application.
- Address for communication including PIN code will be fetched from Digilocker.
- Name and mobile number of parent or guardian should be provided additionally.
- Details of the degree
- Institute/College name with PIN Code
- Choice(s) of GATE test paper(s)
- Options of six GATE Examination cities from the same zone
- Internet-banking / debit card / credit card / UPI / wallet details for fee payment
Documents Required
- Candidate’s live photo will be captured during registration time. Hence, use a computer with a webcam facility or your phone with a minimum of 5 MP front facing camera.
- Please capture your face image in Well-lit area.
- Good quality image of the candidate’s photograph conforming to the specifications
- Good quality image of the candidate’s signature conforming to the specifications
- The same ID, in original, that was verified from Digilocker MUST be produced while appearing for GATE 2027 examination at the centre.
- Category (SC/ST) certificate, if applicable, in PDF format to be uploaded to Digilocker. Create a folder named 'GATE2027'. Upload category(SC/ST) certificates as CATEGORY.pdf
- Scanned copy of UDID (preferred)/PwD Certificate, if applicable, in PDF format to be uploaded in 'GATE2027' folder created in Digilocker. The file to be named as UDID_CERT.pdf or PWD_CERT.pdf respectively.
- Scanned copy of Appendix-B1 or Appendix-B2 or Dyslexic Certificate (whichever is applicable) compile with PwD certificate as a single pdf document and upload in the same drive as PWD_CERT.pdf
- Certificate required for Compensatory time and Scribe
Ensure that the uploaded documents are readable and clear. Uploading unreadable documents may lead to delays in processing the application and may lead to rejection of candidature.
